The rooms are lovely, if a little small, but this is in the city centre. Can feel up your tummy for all the outdoor activities in Berlin. There was pretty much every breakfast item one could want (except for bacon). My sister and I are able bodied and are able to walk up stairs, but we had very heavy suitcases, and after having to lug a 50lb suitcase down two flights of stairs and up one flight at Alexanderplatz Station (that's a story in itself), my back was hurting and I did not have enough strength to drag it up another flight of stairs. We tried to tip him--we are from North America where you are shunned for not tipping minimum 15% for shitty service at restaurants--but apparently tipping is not necessary/expected.). I hate writing such a late review, but there are a couple of things that need to be pointed out. The last day I had to leave early for a flight.
Breakfast is extra and costs €12 which is worth it as it's an endless supply of fine fruits, cheeses, meats etc with a fresh bean coffee machine onsite. The 24-hour bar features the finest selection of delicious drinks. However, it was to the side of the hotel entrance, so front desk staff are not be able to see if there is a guest needing to use the elevator. Learn more. I'm from Phoenix, AZ and am used to 120f, however, my wife suffers from heat exhaustion very easily, and she truly suffered that night. My only complaint is that there was too much delicious food so I could not sample everything. Would give 5 stars but for room size. I understand and appreciate the theming of the hotel simulating the appearance of the sailing ship Titanic, it just did not fit us. Breakfast decent. Staff not especially friendly or helpful. (Not wanting to share a bed, my sister and I upgraded from the Standard Room, which only had one double bed, to the Business Room which had two single beds, so we didn't even get the cheapest room available, despite being budget conscious.) Big comfy bed and the multilingual staff are fantastically helpful drawing us maps and conversing with us in German to help us learn. Near by there are some cafe and restuarant. It was bad luck that when we arrived, a heat wave decided to join us (over 100f for at least two days). Everything was clean and no-frills. Continue your visit to www.tripadvisor.com, Elisabeth-Mara-Str. The hotel location is ideal as the Gendarmenmarkt or "Checkpoint Charlie" are only a 15 minutes' walk away. Staff were friendly. Staff not especially friendly or helpful. Although it was one of the higher classes of hotels that we stayed at during our trip to Europe, the price was very reasonable, at $130 per night for a "Business Room". Quiet but close to an underground station & a short walk either to the Cathedral (along the canal) or to Alexanderplatz. The rooms was clean and modern. One thing to note is that the entrance to the hotel is not very accessible--there is no ramp, only stairs leading to the front entrance.

No bath, but a great shower with a big shower head!Another thing to be wary of here is that the bathroom has glass frosted panelling between it and the bedroom, with sliding mirror doors to separate.
